My Thoughts on Social Media: LJ1

 Personal Do's and Don'ts of Social Media

Social Media itself has many positives and negatives both on the community and personally as well, where I do see both sides of the community since I've grown up with technology and social media itself, I do like to gather information from social media and gain more knowledge of what's being discovered from the bottom of the sea to what were discovering out in space, I make sure to have a good amount of time on social media versus off it. I don't really like making many types of accounts for unnecessary reasoning from applications or websites that I'm not too familiar with. Another thing that I make sure to do is when I'm posting something on social media that I won't regret in the long run. 

Social Behavior Then vs. Now

When I first started social media I did make little accounts but it was more for playing video games as a kid instead of making social media accounts such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or even Snapchat. My very first account that I ever made was a Skype account so I can contact my family which was when I was in elementary, I do personally do feel like a late bloomer when it came to Social Media since I started to make accounts for Instagram and Snapchat when I was a senior in high school, because I never had any purpose for contacting anyone or even posting things as well since my main focus was to always study and graduate with good grades since I did grew up in a very strict household where grades and studying are very important. But now I have almost every account for every popular Social Media that is out there  I have a YouTube Channel where I just post random things whether it's art or just blogs so my family can see them, on Instagram I just like to post more of places I visit and photos of my family. What I would do if I could go back and know about is that I wish that I could learn more about editing and how there's so many different and creative ways to create a post or a video as well so I can incorporate it more in photos or videos as well. 

How I Feel about Social Media

I do like how many express their emotions differently on social media whether if its a post or a video how everyone gets to express their talent as well very differently to the world or to themselves. I personally don't like taking selfies since I just don't really feel like I get great angles but for other people I feel like it works out very nicely for them and it's just so magnificent to see how beautiful a selfie comes out. Online Imaging I don't really like because it does bring down other people as well since many times just having a type of image of how others believe other people should look like but in reality everyone has different looks, style, bodies, and etc. which is beautiful and unique. I do think having rules on Social Media is nice since it does save many new comers as well from the different types of people who would use social media to cause harm and even proceed to even cause cyberbullying so having rules is a nice way to have a friendly environment for newcomers. I don't really like to compare myself to others at all since everyone is different and experience things differently as well as think differently so when it comes to Social Media comparing oneself to another is wrong. I don't think I'll quit Social Media anytime soon since my major is in the field of technology and gaining information through online sources is a must in order to learn and study as well the different types of findings or languages and its also a gateway to learn more  about the community as well.
